Part Two - Why write a Real Estate Blog
Promotion - One reason to write a blog is to promote your knowledge and expertise in the area of real estate. This knowledge and expertise can be promoted to prospective clients, current clients, other real estate agents, other writers and other members of real estate related fields. The power of the internet allows you to reach an audience that was unattainable up until now.
Focus - In order for a blog to be effective, you (and your blog) must have a clear and focused area of expertise. You must add posts on a regular basis and respond to comments in a timely manner. The forced discipline will also carry over into other areas of your real estate career. The clearly focused area of expertise will give you a strong definitive voice to prospective clients and associates.
Communication - The ability to broadcast your blog and the ability for clients and potential clients to subscribe to your blog will allow you to communicate one clear message to all your readers. And it will do it in less time than contacting each one individually. Although it should not replace the one-to-one communication necessary for an effective real estate professional it will eliminate a lot of the repetitive tasks we find ourselves doing.
